| The Maryland Soccer Foundation, Inc. is organized as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. The Foundation is governed by a board of directors and managed day-to-day by an Executive Director with oversight from an Executive Committee.
Originally, the Foundation was organized solely to raise the necessary funds to build and manage the Maryland SoccerPlex at South Germantown Recreational Park. Early on, however, it became clear that with the critical lack of safe, dedicated soccer fields in the County, the Foundation needed to expand its mission to include identifying potential sites for renovating additional fields. The Foundation has, in effect, become the field development arm of organized youth soccer in Montgomery County.
